Yesterday we saw the trailer for a movie coming out in December called “I am Legend.” It looks awesome and I have no idea how we missed it until now. Check out the trailer below.

Wow! Rachel and I watched 28 weeks later last night rented from redbox with a free promotion code. This movie was absolutely great! I liked 28 days later but the intense fast paced parts of the first were my favorite. In 28 weeks later that’s all you get. there’s about 20-30 minutes of slower lead in, but after that it’s none stop action, fast paced evasion and of course you get to see first hand the transformation of normal to infected in detail this time! If you liked the first one you’ll definitely like this one. I give it a 10/10.
If you’re interested check out the trailer.
Rachel and I saw Balls of Fury last night. I’d only give it Two mediocre thumbs in the middle (5/10).
On our way home, we saw some flashes in the sky to the north and determined it was fireworks so we resolved to go find them. On our way through Pittsford we saw some more flashes and sure enough fireworks they were. When a few more went off as we were crossing the bridge we decided to stop and watch there. I’m glad we did because the reflection in the Canal of each explosion of color just added to it.
A great (random) end to a good day.
I have to apologize for the quality of the picture as I only had my pocket camera with me and it does not have good manual settings for long exposures. I’ll be sure to carry the other one from now on.
Rachel and I went to see Simpsons The Movie a few weeks ago. I left the theater thinking I paid $18 to watch something I can get for free on my TV. However; due to their genius marketing gimmicks we did get these fancy simpsonized versions of ourselves.
We went to see the Simpsons Movie and all we got are these these silly Caricatures.
Thursday we went to see The Bourne Ultimatum with our friends Dawn and Brion. I’d have to say this is a must see especially if you liked the other two movies in the series. I’d say it’s not quite as good as the first but well beyond the second. The film is packed with non stop edge of your seat action and filled with ‘omg what did he just do?’ moments.
Last night I went saw Blades Of Glory with some friends. I give it a 7/10. Lots of good quotes. Some of my favorites:
– you put the bone in zamboni
– Work the Google on the Internet Machine
– Mind-bottling. Like your mind is trapped in a bottle
– It makes my hair shine like the Belt of Orion
Afterward we went downtown. I read this on the wall at O’Callaghans and thought I’d share:
Irish Diplomacy – The ability to tell a man to go to hell in such a way that he looks forward to the trip
Ryan came up with an Idea for Guitar Hero. Not going to mention any details but we may be asking for help from everyone so be prepared.
I just read this morning that Michigan is thinking about spending $38 million to buy all of its students IPods? How freaking crazy is that. I’m all for new an innovative ways to teach, but IPods? I don’t get it. When I took calculus it was required that I buy a Graphing Calculator, the state didn’t buy it for me.
Dan’s Video of the day for Friday: Internet Sys Op. Pretty damn funny if you ask me.
Matt introduce me to the New York State Real-Time Transportation Status site. Pretty slick. I can now check to see if it’s worth leaving work or if I should just wait a while until traffic picks back up.
Check out the video below for an innovative 3D desktop idea or for more info check out bumptop. I think it would work great with the multi-touch panels that have been getting so much press recently.
What’s your fortune? apparently I’m supposed to ignore mine whatever that’s supposed to mean. We went to Yangzee (or Wild Bar and Grill) for lunch today. As is typical we got fortune cookies afterward. Mine read “Ignore Previous Cookie“. Strangest. Fortune Cookie. Ever.
This morning the coffee machine overflowed. I didn’t think much about it until I got the E-mail from Mr Coffee. Take a read. I didn’t know Mr Coffee ran java.
Read an interesting article about Windows Vista’s ReadyBoost. Pretty interesting. Also now that Windows Vista includes the ability to use Flash memory as a Cache there is talk about including built in Flash memory with new computers.

Went to see 300 yesterday. I give it a 9/10. Check it out.
I sucked it up and bought a laptop today. It’s an HP Pavilion dv2000 if you care. Not a behemoth by today’s standards but it will more than get the job done. I went for lightweight and compact this time instead of horsepower.
I signed up for twitter but I still don’t really get it. I’ll let you know more later.
