I dont know what kind of impact this has (if any) but good ol’ Condi is going to be testing the Tesla Roadster. Could this mean the administration is actually considering backing some Alternative Fuels? That will be the day.

Short answer: no.
At best I think this is just posturing. This administration is not interested in supporting alternative fuels — all of them have a lot of stock in the fossil fuel industries and other large business who have interests there.
I think it’s just a bid to appease the left a bit.
