Amazon Universal Wishlist

Amazon Universal WishlistJust found this the other day, figured my birthday was as good a day as any to post it.

Amazon has allowed other retailers to use their site as a store-front for quite some time now, I suspect Amazon gets some sort of kickback from this so it pays off for them I’m sure.  It seems they want to take control of the entire online marketplace now, which is perfectly fine by me.  Having only one place to shop for all your needs sounds like paradise.

Did you catch that I hate shopping?

Either this is a recent development or I’ve been in the dark.  You can now add items to your Amazon wishlist from any website.  This is awesome! To do so, all you need is the Universal Wishlist Button.  This is just a Bookmarklet, so if you don’t like clogging up your toolbar with links you use only rarely, just add it as a bookmark instead.

I took the liberty of adding a few ThinkGeek items to mine…   If you’re wondering what to get me for my birthday (and you don’t believe in charity:water for some unknown reason) feel free to check out my lists.

My Wish List

My Photography NEED list

But remember, I can already drink clean water.  There are MANY out there who can’t.  Please consider donating to those who need it.  If you’d like more information, check out my previous post all about the September Birthday Charity:Water campaign.

DISCLAIMER: items purchased, NOT on any of my lists are subject to be sold and proceeds donated to Charity:Water.  You have been warned.  Then again, I might sell items ON the list and donate the proceeds…

September Birthday Water

Charity Water is running another September campaign.  My birthday is in September.  I felt this appropriate.

Please Donate

It’s hard to imagine a world without clean water.  It would literally change everything you know and every behavior you have.  Water conservation wouldn’t just be about being green it would be about survival.  You wouldn’t worry about cold water, clean water (no matter the temperature) would be enough.

I’ve given to charity: water before, and I’ve asked others to do the same.

For my birthday this year, consider donating some money to help those who really need it.  After all, I really don’t need that new pair of socks.

Please give as much as you can.

BBQ with Cake

For my birthday Rachel organized a surprise party by tricking me into a dinner at Dinosaur BBQ.  It was a load of fun and completely unexpected.  It was my first surprise party and I’d call it a success.

To top off the great BBQ dinner at Dinosaur Rachel got everybody together for the Cake concert.  Cake is one of my favorite bands and she had been making excuses for why we weren’t able to go.  When I opened my birthday card at dinner and found 2 tickets for the concert I was ecstatic.  The concert was better than I could imagine.  Cake turns out to be one of those bands that sounds just as good if not better live than on their pre-recorded music.

An awesome birthday thanks to the worlds best wife.

And yes, I know this post is 2 months late.  Sue me.

Dear London and Denver,

Thanks for the birthday card

But I’m a little confused as to how you were able to fill in your paw prints and get it in the mail without the card getting shredded.  Maybe now you won’t shred MY mail?  Wishful thinking I suppose.

You must have had help, I just wish I could say thanks to whoever it was.

Making me Fat

Berry Banana BouquetYay! I’m 25. Now that’s over.

Apparently I need to gain more weight despite my thoughts on the matter. Some of what I got For my birthday:

– The Edible Arrangement pictured (left).
– A home cooked Chicken Marsala Dinner
– A home cooked Turkey Dinner
– A new type of Carvel Ice Cream Cake

Sensing a trend here? I did.

That being said it was all scrumptious especially the chocolate covered bananas.

Thanks for the great birthday everyone!
